Culture already makes a substantial contribution to the wider policy agenda. However, this contribution can be maximised by recognising linkages and co-operating with other agencies at national, regional and local levels.

The development of this Strategy has been greatly influenced by the relevant policies and plans of other agencies. Bolton has, however, in turn been able to influence both regional and national thinking when it comes to culture through, for example, feeding directly into the Regional Cultural Strategy and the DCMS Guidance to Local Authorities on the preparation of Cultural Strategies.
